two names.one word.
APRENZ is not a coined word and it is not a Latin borrowing. It is two people. April, and Renzo. The first three letters and the last three letters, joined without a seam.
April is Ron's wife. The person the product has to be good enough for. Renzo is his son. The reason the label has to still be defensible in twenty years.
The monogram on every pack is their initials, not the company's. Nobody outside the family needs to be told. It is there for the people who do.
ron scolesdang.
Ron Scolesdang started APRENZ the way most people start anything that lasts: because the thing he wanted did not exist yet.
He had spent years reading supplement labels and finding the same two problems. Either the panel was so loud it told him nothing, or the formula was so thin the panel had nothing to tell. He wanted a product he could hand to his wife without a caveat, and a company his son could one day read the label of and understand every word.
So he named it after them. April and Renzo. The name went on the outside first, and everything else had to earn its way up to it.
"I put my family's name on it. So it had better be right."
Ron Scolesdang, founder
the brief that started it.
There is a particular kind of tired that comes from reading the back of a jar in a supermarket aisle. Ron knew it well. A young son, a wife who asked sensible questions, and a shelf at home that kept filling with tubs he could not fully defend.
The pattern was always the same. The front of the pack shouted a promise. The back of the pack hid behind a proprietary blend. Somewhere between the two, the actual product went missing.
So that became the brief. Put the number on the front. Put the full dose on the back. Say nothing in between that a regulator, a chemist, or a nine-year-old could not follow.
Formulated with world-class ingredients. Manufactured in the USA.
